2014 Book Fairs

A new year brings new reasons to be excited, and for us at Ffotogallery we are excited for the many book fairs and festivals that are happening around the UK in the coming year! Here is some information and details on ones we have spotted and think it would be worth while to take a closer look at and maybe get involved with.

Leeds Print Festival
24th-31st January 2014
Leeds Print Festival
For the third year running, 2014’s champions contemporary and traditional print making processes with a series of events spanning a whole week. Including; an opening night celebration, print exhibitions, a series of talks and of course, the print fair itself.

The London Book Fair
8th, 9th & 10th April 2014
London Book FairThere is a huge amount that can be discovered at LBF. It might be the company that can convert your book to digital, the seminar that reveals a new approach to marketing, the future-gazing presentation that transforms your strategy. Or it might just be a chance meeting that leads to future business. The entire publishing industry is represented at LBF, with over 1500 stand holders in Earls Court 1 and 2 as well as 580+ table holders in the International Rights Centre. There are also over 200+ subjects being covered within the seminars!

Bristol Anarchist Book Fair
26th April, 2014, Trinity Centre, Trinity Road, Bristol

Bristol Anarchist Book Fair 2014With a wide range of talks covering everything from anarchism and education to extreme energy and prison abolition; over 60 stalls; an outdoor space and activities (including a bouncy castle!); the Radical History Zone at Hydra Books; Kebele’s superb vegan cafe; Permanent Culture Now marquee; and a lively after party at The Croft.

Turn The Page Artists’s Book Fair
Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd May 2014 @ Forum, Norwich

Turn The Page artists’ book fair is a UK and international exhibiting and selling platform for artists who are creating work that is inspired by the structural and conceptual properties of the book form.
The event is held over 2 days in the spectacular atrium
at the Forum, Norwich and is fast establishing its place amongst the top UK Book Art events.

Nairn Book and Arts Festival
2nd – 7th September 2014, Selected Venues over the area of NairnNairn Book Art FairOver the years the literary events have attracted a selection of well-known names across a range of genres, including Iain Banks, Christopher Brookmyre and A L Kennedy, as well as nationally and internationally renowned speakers like Kate Adie and Trevor Royle. For music lovers there has been a diverse range of performances from Scottish traditional to jazz music, past performers include the Red Hot Chilli Pipers and The Temperance Seven.

One of Scotland’s favourite book and arts events, the Nairn Book & Arts Festival prides itself on celebrating Highland culture and history, with an emphasis on Gaelic culture. The programmes are always broad reaching with appeal for tourists from the UK and overseas as well as our local audience.
